Elvis Presley.
1956 HMV UK LP.
Rock n Roll No. 1.
Has quite a nasty warp (that seems to have appeared recently) so price dropped accordingly. I would have said it's an "edge" warp but looks like it affects all of the needle movement when playing.
Obviously I can only describe how it plays on my system, you may (or may not) have more luck, I hope.
Side 1.
Track 1 - Jumps at the beginning because of the warp I think, pity as VG+ easily.
Track 2 - Plays VG+
Track 3 - Plays with slight crackle (VG+).
Track 4 - Plays VG.
Track 5 - Plays well (VG+).
Track 6 - Plays well too (warp almost gone).
I'm not looking forward to this.......but
Side 2.
Track 1 - Plays VG+ with slight hiss, amazingly. Too good to be true, 2 quick skips probably due to the warp.
Track 2 - Plays VG with slight crackle.
Track 3 - Plays VG as above.
Track 4 - VG/+ again.
Track 5 - Plays pretty well (VG/+).
Track 6 - Plays VG/+ too.
If you can sort the warp out it's a half decent copy.
