Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are a few marks/scratches, but nothing too deep or drastic though (see photos).
The labels are quite clean and have NO WRITING but there is a name/address label on one side (see photos)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV SILVER WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $50 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+)for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS 2nd OF THE 2 PINK SLEEVES ISSUED , THIS BEING THE DARK PINK (rather than the alternative light pink)
This sleeve is over 55 years old and there are a few signs of ageing.
There are NO SPLITS, RIPS or TEARS.(see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some ringwear/creases and some non sticky remains from where a label has been removedand a number+letter written on the front cover(see photos)
Overall this was valued at about $70(£46) back in 2008.
I will start this at way under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £80+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
Please look at my other auctions for some more great Elvis USA picture sleeve lots.
I offer shipping discounts on multiple purchases.
APOLOGIES FOR POSTAGE PRICES INCREASES. THIS IS DUE TO ROYAL MAIL INCREASING COSTS FROM 30TH APRIL 2012!!!
