Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY - Elvis Volume 1 released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA 992 dog on top)is in VERY GOOD+ condition with a few light marks/scratches (none too deep) and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.
The centre labels are quite clean, However there is some rubbing , non sticky residue from where a label has been removed and a name written on one side( you have to look hard to see it).
This is the RARER issue WITH Horizontal Line.
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2002 as $45-50 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+)for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is over 53 years old and is in reasonable condition for the age.
There are NO SPLITS,RIPS or TEARS or WRITING(see photos)
The only thing that stops this grading higher is some discolouration on the rear and a name is written lightly on the front twice and once on the rear(see photos)
This is a really affordable collection filler until that MINT £85+ copy comes along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $75(£53+approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £55.
Why not complete the trilogy as i also have EPA 993 and EPA 994 listed!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
