Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1959/1965 Gold Standard Series single Blue Moon Of Kentucky / That's All Right released in the USA.
The record itself (447-0601 dog on Top )is in EXCELLENT- condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.
There are a few light marks(nothing too deep or drastic though)
The labels are CRISP,CLEAN and have NO WRITING!!!!(see photos)
THIS REALLY IS A BEAUTY!!!!
This is the 1st issue Gold Standard Series issued in 1959.
This comes WITH the ONLY issued Gold Standard Series picture sleeve for this release, issued in 1965.
The picture sleeve is much sought after and is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
This sleeve is over 44 years old and is in Reasonable condition.
The sleeve has NO SPLITS or WRITING!(see photos)
The only things that stops this from grading higher is some ringwear and a rip at the side. (HENCE THE LOWER START!)
That said the colours are quite nice and there is NO WRITING!
A MINT copy of this sleeve is $300+ ALONE!!! (£225)
THIS REALLY IS QUITE A RARITY and A HARD ONE TO FIND!!
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $200-230(£145+) , so i guess it must now be at least £150+.
I will start this auction at WAY UNDER A THIRD OF THAT!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE, you may well get a GREAT bargain.
