Description

I'm starting to list a collection of about 200 lps and 45s put together by my wife between about 1969 and 1984. Few of these have been played more than 2 or 3 times as, generally, they were recorded to tape and then put away. About 75% are in Near Mint store bought condition and look as if they've just been purchased. They were usually bought within a few days of being issued so, not only are they in pristine condition, they're mostly first pressings. Plus the lps all have their original inner sleeves and any inserts. The collection has remained untouched in a cupboard at my wife's parents house since she moved out and got married in 1984. If I find any blemishes or faults with any of these records I will point them out. Even the slightest shelf wear is absent from many. If you require additional photos of anything please let me know.

This is a copy of the debut LP Tarkus by Emerson, Lake And Palmer UK first pressing from 1971 on Island ILPS 9155.

The stamped matrix no.s are  ILPS 9155   A - 1 U  and   ILPS 9155  B - 1 U  with  PORKY etched into Side 1 and PECKO  into Side 2.

The vinyl is in Excellent condition with just one or two very faint hair lines about half way through Side 2.. There is nothing that  is audible or affects play. The labels are spotless with no stickers, writing, spindle marks or stains.

The matt gatefold cover, printed by E. J. Day is in Near Mint condition.  The only blemishes I can find are a very faint dent to the front at the top right hand corner and a tiny dent to the back in the bottom left hand corner. The wide spine is perfwct and the cardboard is as fresh and crisp as the day it left the printers.

The white inner paper sleeve just has some faint browning / ageing to the edges. The original blue Island inner sleeve is a little tatty, with a lot of small creases and has ageing / browning to it but it is included with the record though not shown in the picture.

In summary

, a very nice copy, especially the cover, of a 41 year old record.

Comes from a smoke free home.

I ship in purpose-made strong cardboard mailers and I'm happy to combine multiple purchases in one parcel to save on shipping costs.
