You are bidding on a sealed Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording copy of Emerson, Lake and Palmer's Trilogy LP. The album comes from my personal record collection Special Limited Edition is No 1006. The album will be shipped via USPS (unless buyer makes other arrangements) and must be insured. Trilogy is the third studio album by Progressive Rock Band band Emerson,Lake and Palmer, originally released in 1972. The interior of the original gatefold sleeve features a photomotoge showing multiple images of the band in Epping Forest carpeted with autumn leaves.
The band had already released two very carefully performed studio albums, Emerson, Lake and Palmer (1970) and Tarkus (1971), the former being dominated by virtuoso keyboards and drumming; the latter being as bombastic as it was ambitious. Trilogy, their third studio album, increased ELP's worldwide popularity, and included "Hoedown", which was one of their most popular songs when performing live.

All of the instruments and voices were clear and distinct, much more open than on the boxed set. Bass response was deep and resonant, never boomy. Carl Palmer's drums at the beginning of "The Sheriff" sound great, extremely tight and clear. Keith Emerson's piano on the title track sound warm and natural. Another of the album's many shining moments is on the Greg Lake track, "From the Beginning", with its acoustic introduction. Lake's vocals and guitar are particularly clear on the Anadisq 200 version.
