Description
For sale is Emerson Lake and Palmer Trilogy from Mobile Fidelity. Please read the entire description before bidding. The cover is a strong VG+ plus with no flaws that I could see. The album was difficult for me to grade and here's why: visually it looks flawless. I had it ultrasonically cleaned (like I do with all of my "expensive" albums). Despite that you will hear occasional bits of surface noise. It could be because there are so many quiet passages on this album which makes it more obvious? I've also heard that surface noise was common on the Anadisc 200 series discs that Mobile Fidelity was issuing at the time, but I don't know how true that is or not. Anyways, the surface noise is just here and there, not continuous throughout the album. Aside from that, the only other flaw is on the song Abaddon's Bolero. About a minute or so into the song you will hear a tick as if from a scratch which goes on for about 10 seconds though there are no visible scratches on the album. I was never that bothered by it as it's my least favorite track on the album. Other than that, this is the best sonic presentation of this album available. From my collection and a smoke free home.
