The little known Dutch quartet Amati quartet consisted of
Jacques Holtman, Richard Kilmer, Ton Wilmes and Ben de Ligt,
performing respectively on a Stradivarius, a Camilli, a Capicchioni and a Cuypers.
It was founded in 1966 and the after
1971 the quartet devoted itself full time to chamber music
and gained fame all over Europe. They are called the Alma quartet
after the famous family of Violin builders Amati.
