Spaghetti Western holy grail Score by the master of the masters golden globe Ennio Morricone. A legendary soundtrack composed by the maestro for the film "IL GRANDE SILENZIO" directed in 1968 by SERGIO CORBUCCI and starring the cult actors Jean Louis Trintignant and Klaus Kinski. Considered one of his best non-Leone Western soundtracks, music here features the top quality Morricone's melancholic and dramatic sounds, deeply moving and cold as the snow covered landscape of the film. Unusual stylistic choice for a western and for sure of the best “western” works by Morricone since the collaboration with Sergio Leone for the classic “Dollar Trilogy” and “Once Upon a Time in the West”. Musically the album is characterized by bewitching Classical orchestrations mixed with some stunning Psychedelic touch. Tense Western Drama and moody Film music blended with light melodies, isolated and sophisticated Experimental instrumentation with Sitar, weird percussions etc., and slight electric cues. Sampled by the guys of Orgasmo Sonore in 2011. Top Notch Italian Soundtrack and Morricone's remarkable score, legend!
