Description
For sale is Ensemble Pieces by Christopher Hobbs, John Adams and Gavin Bryars, released in 1975 in the U.K. and imported into the United States. It was produced by Brian Eno and released on his record label, Obscure Records, of which this is the second in the series (Obscure #2). This is the first printing on Island Records with the Matrix A-1/B-1 in the dead wax, signifying the first stamper was used to make this first edition, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record new and immediately put it in a protective inner sleeve, thus protecting the integrity of the vinyl. I've graded the jacket as VG+, because it has some ring wear and edge rubs. The record is graded as Near Mint Minus because of faint sleeve marks that do not affect playback. This is the best copy of this very rare album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find a first edition in this condition ever again. I have more records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're mostly Near Mint. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
