Description
Very presentable and rare copy of Eric Burdon & War’s 1970 double album on Liberty LDS 84003/4. Impossible to classify the music on this album but it could be described as ‘Rock Soul’, with Eric Burdon’s distinctive vocals and superb musicianship from the band. Very little hint of the funk on which War would build their later career. This copy has the track entitled ‘PC3’ removed, with a sticker to this effect on the back cover (applied by the record company, not by me!). Matrices are A2/B-1U/A-1U/B-1U.
Sleeve Strong VG+ Laminated gatefold. Manufactured in Italy but this is definitely a UK issue. General light wear and rubbing, nothing excessive.
Labels Ex+ Very clean. Some rubbing on the Side 3 label. No spindle traces to be seen on any of the labels.
Inners VG Original polylined bags, dated 11/70. Age yellowing, creasing and handling wear
Records Visually Ex+, possibly NM but for a couple of hairlines. Lovely shine to the vinyl. Fully play-tested – VG+ to Excellent audio, clear and powerful sound throughout with some random patches of light crackle and the odd faint tick.
