This is the Eric Clapton "Crossroads" 6 lp vinyl box set, US pressing on Polydor Records.
This award-winning set single-handedly started the box set craze in 1988. An extremely thorough compilation, it also offered a bunch of rare or previously unreleased tracks. ★★★★★
