A word to Esther: She is still alive and lives in Zurich, Switzerland. She practices every day and gives concerts from time to time. She is now about 80 years old.
A word to the label:The records were made by the ARMIDA label. This was a small label in Switzerland. About 50 recordings were made. Some of them were quite obscure. These records show not an Armida, but EN logo. This stands for Esther Nyffenegger of course. This is a sign of the good relationship between the Armida owner and Esther.
A word to the name of Esther: Here name 'Nyffenegger' shows, that her familiy comes from the very central part of Switzerland. There is a small village, called Nyffel. The part of hername -egg- stands for the hill above the village Nyffel. The ending of the name -er means, that all the people called 'Nyffenegger' are those living on the hill above Nyffel.
