This is a rare Decca Records 78 rpm album of the Original Broadway Cast recording of the COLE PORTER musical comedy "PANAMA HATTIE" (album No. 203) on two 10" inch vinyl records. (The production opened October 30th, 1940 at the Forty-Sixth Street Theatre in New York City and ran for 501 performances.) ..... The musical starred the legendary ETHEL MERMAN and featured ARTHUR TREACHER, BETTY HUTTON, JAMES DUNN, JOAN CARROLL, PHYLLIS BROOKS, RAGS RAGLAND, PAT HARRINGTON, AL DOWNING, TED DANIELS, NADINE GAE, JUNE ALLYSON, VERA ELLEN, DON WEISMULLER, ANN GRAHAM and FRANK HYERS ..... CREDITS: Book by HERBERT FIELDS and B. G. CONDITION: The records show light, barely noticeable surface marks. The album cover shows minor soiling near the seam and moderate edge wear.
