This promo copy of the great 1988 Etta James album "Seven Year Itch" (which is now out of print and collectible) also comes with the Island Records label press kit that was issued to promote the album to media writers.

The press kit includes 11 stapled pages of reviews (People, Playboy, Spin, etc.); four stapled pages of biography info and an Etta James discography; a matte-finish black-and-white photo of Etta James; and a color printed single sheet ad for the album (note that this sheet has some impressions at top left caused by being pressed against the staples of the other pieces, and a narrow vertical crimp at the bottom left edge). The press kit contents come in a folder (with "Etta James" in big letters on the front) that shows some impressions and crimps.

The record is on the Island Records label, catalog number 7 91018-1, UPC number 075679101815. Includes the amazingly great songs "Damn Your Eyes," "Breaking Up Somebody's Home" and eight more. See below for specific condition info details.

My standard disclaimer about vinyl: As with all vinyl records, there will be at least some pops, clicks and other surface noise even on a brand-new record, so do not expect flawlessly pristine CD sound quality. I grade on the following scale: Like New, Very Good (some flaws, nothing major), Good (more noticeable flaws, but still acceptable), Fair (looking pretty bad, but not a total disaster) and Poor (really bad with major defects).

SPECIFIC DETAILS:

Overall condition: Very Good Plus.

Jacket: Very Good, kept from grading higher because it has a saw-cut at the edge, promo text stamped on the back (bottom center), and some diagonal crimps at back top right corner and some corner "bumps." It's not a disaster, but be aware that it does have those flaws.

Record: Very Good Plus, looks very clean and new but has some occasional very minor surface noise (very minor occasional "crackles") -- definitely not a big deal, and it probably sounded like this the day it was pressed, but I'm picky.

Inner sleeve: White paper inner sleeve in excellent condition, no splits.
