Description
DESCRIPTION: Fairport Convention- Liege and Lief. 1st UK pressing with A1/B1 matrix, Pink "i" labels and original white inner sleeve. Very clean looking and sounding record and very clean sleeve.
LABEL AND CAT NUMBER: ISLAND ILPS 9115
COUNTRY AND YEAR OF RELEASE: UK, 1969.
CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is clean with a nice dark sheen. Titled into light it shows a couple of thin light hairlines on side 2. Sits flat on the turntable. Music is clean, clear, vibrant and loud with just a very occasional soft tick. Gatefold cover is firm and square with light to moderate edge and corner wear and light creasing. Fully legible spine and clean inside to gatefold. Clean inner with light wear only and no splits. Very clean pink "i" labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.
GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
