Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room. This week’s auctions feature my progressive and psychedelic records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare U.K. 1st pressing of Fairport Convention – Liege and Lief on the PINK ISLAND label with the white “i” logo, label, cat. no. ILPS 9115.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are a few non-sounding hairlines only. The labels are in EX minus condition as well, there are a couple spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG(+) condition, there is a small dent and there is a very tiny sticker tear mark on the front, the opening edge on the back has a very small tear of approx. 1 centimetre and the previous owner has written (in tiny biro) how the title of this album is pronounced on the back. The spine is also a bit bald. Although there are some imperfections, this cover looks very presentable to me.
Although the cover of this copy is not in mint condition, the record itself is in a great condition. Most copies of this album are severely overplayed and not better than the usual VG. But this record has survived! Further, original U.K. copies of Fairport Convention’s Liege and Lief album on the PINK ISLAND label are becoming very scarce nowadays (later pink rim labels are quite easy to find), so this is your chance to complete your Fairport Convention and / or PINK ISLAND label collection.
