FAIRPORT CONVENTION - UNHALFBRICKING - 1ST German edition on pink eye Island label 849 302 UY.
What we have here is another great folk rock masterpiece, rare 1st German pressing of legendary FC album on pink eye ISLAND label, housed in legendary cover with Sandy Denny's parents on front and the band in the garden.
The 1st UK pressings of this legendary LP on pink eye and particulary pink black block label are mostly sought after, but they are also known for not the best sound quality resulting from pressing. German pressings on 1st pink eye ISLAND label are known for excellent sound quality and this example is a proof of superior german quality and sounds much much better so here you have RARE and GREAT sounding copy of this collectable record.

Record is housed in plain polylined inner sleve and then in original laminated picture sleeve, which strangely says printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. LTD, so might be it is UK printed, althoug it shows a german Cat. No. and also says in german on right top of back cover " auch MONO abspielbar". Everything is in superb condition. Check the photos for details. Cover is in EXCELLENT condition, no tears and seam splits, a few laminate wrinkles here and there, light shelfwear on the corners and edges, but relly nothing serious, spine strong and lightly worn, text 95% legiblevery, strong EX !
Record is in NEAR MINT MINUS condition with just very light occasional hairline not affecting play, bright shiny vinyl, no scratches, no jumps !
Labels are NEAR MINT, with just a few spindle marks, bright, full rich pink color, clean without any writing and perfectly legible.
Playgrading on my J.A. Mitchell GyroDec was a feast for my ears too !
Record plays straight and tracks perfect, almost no background noise between tracks, perfect german pressing, no clicks and pops, fine full dynamics and volume, clear differentiated reach and full sound. Great pressing ! Playgraded as NEAR MINT MINUS. You will hardly be able to upgrade this one, rare and collectable record in great condition.
