Looking under normal light the vinyl has a lovely glossy sheen and looks like new. I grade all my records under a bright light as this is the only way to be able to see any light marks, rubs and other imperfections. I am often told I undergrade my records, but I prefer to stay on the safe side when people are buying items they can't actually see in the flesh until they have been purchased.

The vinyl is in excellent condition on both sides. The labels on both sides are almost like new, fabulous. Only the slightest evidence of play around either side of the spindle hole. This album has clearly not seen much use over the last 48 years or so.

The unlaminated sleeve is in very good + condition. It's quite a fragile sleeve being unlaminated and easily damages. The front side is fabulous with no marks or damage, just the slightest bit of edge and corner wear. The rear side has a couple of small indentations and is starting to show a little bit of ringwear. Overall a very nice sleeve in VG+ condition.

Fabulous, 1st Press album from Fairport Convention in lovely, original condition.

I have been a collector of Vinyl records since the late 1960's and have been selling on eBay for over 12 years. I also sell Music Memorabilia, Die-cast Models, Motoring Memorabilia and interesting items from the 1960's & 1970's, the best decades I feel in my life. I have a huge collection and only sell items of quality that I am proud to own myself. I describe everything honestly and take pride in my feedback and customer comments left for me. I offer a full refund if anything is not up to the standard I have described.

All my records are played and graded by the "Bible" Record Collector's Grading System. Please see below:-

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extras such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
