Description

FAIRPORT CONVENTION What We Did On Our Holidays Original 1st UK Pressing

Here we have a really nice condition original 1st UK pressing of 'What We Did On Our Holidays' by Fairport Convention. This is a 1968 STEREO pressing, there was no MONO,and it's on the original Pink Island 'eye logo' label. Fairport Convention at their very best with this rare psych-folk rock LP. This album sold in small numbers on release so is seldom up for sale as a 1st pressing.    I got this particular LP, along with a large collection of others, from a retired hi-fi engineer/ designer who was responsible for quite a few well known quality hi-fi separates during the 80's and 90's and also wrote hi-fi reviews for the major UK hi-fi mags. The  latter had to be done under a psuedonym. Suffice to say the LP has been well looked after by it's original owner.

Matrix Nos: ILPS 9092+A and ILPS 9092+B

Cat Number: ILPS 9092

Vinyl: - EX to EX+ (Really well looked after and low played. Only shows very fine hairlines when viewed under bright light. MACHINE CLEANED AND FULLY TEST PLAYED BEFORE AUCTION. Noted on last track a mild pop repeated in the intro and a very brief few second burst of crackle as the track fades. Otherwise the sound quality is top-notch throughout.

Sleeve: - EX-

Labels: -.EX+

This record seldom comes up for sale and even less so in this condition. Dont miss your chance

GRADING ABBREV DESCRIPTION MINT M The record is as new. The cover and any inserts should be in perfect condition. EXCELLENT
PLUS
EX+ The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under Bright Light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. Reserve this grade for records where you have difficulty spotting anything wrong.
The Cover and inserts are undamaged. EXCELLENT EX The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. EXCELLENT
MINUS
EX- There may be fairly visible surface markings under bright light but the sound quality of the record is not adversely affected.
The Cover and inserts may have noticeable light creasing or "foxing" due to dampness but they are all present and intact. VERY GOOD VG The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite surface marks and some light scratches. Also Use this grading where the record has suffered perhaps one more visible scratch, but is otherwise in EX or better condition.
The cover may be creased a little and/or frayed at the opening. You should itemize any more serious damage such as tears.

I also use +/- if I feel a record comes between a grade
