Description
On offer is this top stereo copy of the ground breaking second album from Fairport Convention, this is an original 1969 second pressing which was released during 1969 on the pink ISLAND Records label (the one with the black "block" logo) ILPS 9092. Coming as it does from my personal collection of VINYL albums purchased new in the 1960s & 1970s you can be sure it has been lovingly cared for and stored properly over the past 46 years.
CONDITION: The heavy 130g vinyl has retained a super as new gloss, when played the record reproduces a superb clean audio sound quality. Both of the textured labels have nothing worse than a half dozen feint spindle trace lines, this record has certainly not been played very often. The fully laminated E. J. Day sleeve is in fantastic condition as a result of having always been protected by an outer plastic sleeve. To the front and rear top right hand corners there is a small "ghost" mark where a 3/8" circular self adhesive index label has been removed; all text to the pinched spine is 100% legible.
I have rated the vinyl (visual & audio) along with the cover as EXCELLENT+ following the Record Collectors grading system guidelines.
