FAMILY - A SONG FOR ME FIRST PRESS - A2/B2 MATRIX c/w INSERT Year:1970 Cat: RSLP 9001

On offer here is a rare example of this Family album complete with insert.
The unlaminated cardboard gatefold sleeve which is very prone to wear is flat with virtually no marks or creases and just a trace of ringwear on the rear. The spine is straight and legible with some rubbing through but nothing major. The top edges are virtually unworn apart from the spinal corners and sleeve corners. The bottom edges have some wear but no splits. The sleeve opening has very slight feathering. Inside the gatefold is immaculate. Overall very presentable and graded VG++
The polylined UK Patent inner has some browning but no creases or splits, also graded VG++. Black lyric insert is uncreased and graded EX-
The vinyl weighs in at 162 gms and has great gloss and delivers superb audio. Under strong light there are just a couple light hairlines and fingermarks. Other than slight crackle on the lead in to Side 1 there is very little noise evident. Visually graded EX. Audio onSide 1 is graded EX- and Side 2 graded EX. The Tricolour steamboat labels are clear and bright with just a few spindle trails showing this record has only been played a few times.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
