Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! The Rainbow Theater were a formidable collective of Melbourne, Australia musicians assembled in 1973 by hailed composer and multi-instrumentalist Julian Browning. While they are described as a "classically influenced prog rock with twisting jazzy moves" by influences like Stravinsky, Wagner, King Crimson, and Mahavishnu Orchestra. The music of "Fantasy Of Horses" is grounded by a superb rhythm section playing with bursts of energy-fusion, frequently augmented by Mellotron and organ/keys enhanced enrichment.
Group leader Julian Browning handles both keyboards/Mellotron and the occasional excellent flourishes of guitar work then is blasted into the stratosphere by backing arrangement loveliness of the musicians working together. Winds, stings, and woodwinds provide the beauty amid the constant drama engaging the listener and engage you they will! The two long tracks "Dancer" and "Fantasy of Horses" are simply mind-bending musical adventures that rarely let up as they weave through multiple sections. In the middle of both pieces will come the occasional calm interlude that allows one to catch their breath. In these moments may come gentle keys/woodwind melody or solo.
Another fascinating aspect are the male vocals of Keith Hoban which are both formal and dramatic, beautifully woven into the music. While a primarily a grand-instrumentation album. the vocal sections add much grandeur directing a distinct avenue for the ideas being expressed.
The ending section of "Dancer" (the story of a young girl's desire of becoming a ballerina) must be one of prog's most beautiful moments: cascading soft trumpeting amid fluttering flute calling back and forth while Mellotron lifting, drifting upwards, finally to descend again; drum works are all around but always delicate, the sensation is one of falling and floating like within the cut, "Dancer," the 7-part title track finale, remarkable in its ability to convey the storytelling instrumentally even when setting aside the vocals..
