: A SUPER RARE GERMAN KRAUTROCK CLEAR DEBUT VINYL LP FROM FAUST COMPLETE WITH PLASTIC INNER LYRIC SHEET AND PLASTIC OUTER SLEEVE.

Faust (German for "fist") is the 1971 debut album of German krautrock group Faust. Although it was never a commercial success, Faust has garnered much acclaim from rock critics. In 1971, Polydor entered a deal with Uwe Nettelbeck to assemble a musical ensemble that could compete with the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and Small Faces. Before the release of their debut, Faust would send tapes to Polydor containing anything from studio experiments to recordings of someone washing dishes.

The original LP record is on clear vinyl in a clear cover with an X-ray of a human hand silkscreened on the outer sleeve. It also includes a transparent plastic sheet with the lyrics and credits printed in red

Both Silver Polydor record labels have Made In Germany on both sides, and are in Excellent condition, the labels are clean and all printed text is legible, with just a few play signs.

Both sides of the clear vinyl LP are in Excellent condition, the LP has just a couple of surface hairlines visible, but no deep scratches or scuffs.

The LP play’s without major faults, there is just light background noise on the intro to the first tracks on both sides, otherwise a very interesting musical content.

The Printed Plastic inner lyric sheet is in Excellent condition, the red print has not faded and all words are legible.

The Printed Plastic outer sleeve, Printed in England by Autoscreen Ltd, and is in Excellent Minus condition, the sleeve shows ringwear, where the LP has been stored and a 3” crack to the edge, (see scan) the X-ray of a hand is clear and all wording is legible.
