VINYL is NM/EX
Beautiful full gloss vinyl is super-clean both sides. Both sides look like new - Side 1 is NM with superb playback throughout. Side 2 plays NM through most, but has small crackle on 2nd to last track - otherwise Like New. Labels are immaculate both sides.

COVER is NM-
Still in the complete original factory Shrink Wrap; Crisp, tight cover with one small, soft edge crease, on back only, u.r. edge. No other creases, no wear, writing, dings, indents or soil. Clean promo drill hole in u.r. corner. All edges straight, all corners sharp. Seams and spine 100% intact with no splits.

TRUE FIRST PRESS with 1st "FEAR" "THE RECORD" large in magenta ink, grooved labels.

...nothing but the drill hole to denote this as a promo, but as a verified 1st Press, it certainly was not a "cut-out" or deleted item, as 2 further pressings were made through 1983, with different: (1-23933) catalog number.

This LP - and most of the others I am listing now - is from the collection of a lifelong former DJ who received thousands of promos, many white labeled, others with "Promotion, Not For Sale"e etc. stickers, but many others with only a drill hole or edge slice to denote the promotional status, depending on the Record company.

To my knowledge, there was never a WHITE label, or "FOR PROMOTION ONLY" printed labels, release on this title.
This (simple promo drill hole) is how SLASH sent out their Promos at the time.

So I believe this LP to be a PROMO, like so many others from the same collection.
Nevertheless, it is definitely a VERIFIED FIRST PRESSING.
