FELA KUTI & AFRIKA 70 LP ZOMBIE (Mercury Records SRM-1-3709). Released 1977.
Original US stereo pressing on the red Mercury label. Fela Anikulapo Kuti on sax, piano & vocals. The lyric sheet has boss photos! Ladi Alabi aka Tony Allen is the drummer & band leader. Durotimi Ikujenyo designed the awesome cover. Trumpet solo by Tunde Williams. The shortest song here is over 10 minutes long. One of the must-listens. Address is printed on both the label & cover. Bronze cover is missing the front insert. (Matrix #: "SRM-1-3709-A/B ct A1 Audio Labs DA").
No seam splits, stains, cuts, tears, tape, water damage, cut-out marks, price tags, or stickers on the thick, sturdy cover. Small amount of ring indentation, but no speckling. Nice flat jacket with no bends or bows. Deep rich unfaded colors. Spine print is fully readable. The print is all still intact & undisturbed. Moderate corner banging. The label looks great with no marks, scuffs, stains or writing. Sharp-cut hole mostly free of spindle brushings.
