Description

Maazel & The Cleveland - Respighi FESTE ROMANAE - Decca recording/Mobile Fidelity UHQR (MFQR-1-507) - Limited Edition - TAS - VERY BEST!

Yes, this is the renowned Maazel/Cleveland Orchestra performance of Respighi's FESTE ROMANAE long recognized on the TAS list as one of the very best recordings of all time; in fact, one of only 12 so designated.

And though it is the very same recording as released on Decca SXL-6822, this particular copy is much, much more. It is a Mobile Fidelity UHQR Master Recording release, which makes it one of the finest produced records on the planet, bar none.

Unlike other Mobile Fidelity records, this UHQR is certified on paper to have been derived solely from the original stereo master tape. It is then half-speed mastered and specially plated and pressed on high definition super vinyl by Victor Company of Japan, and packaged in a special static-free inner sleeve, which is slip cased, foam sandwiched, and especially deluxe boxed.

The results, from such efforts, is simply breathtaking. So take heed. This record will spoil you.

And, hey, everything about this package, and record, is near mint and better. Which makes it a top-shelf prize in vinyl literature.

To be cherished.
