Description
This is weird and wonderful--I think it's for Prog Rock fans, Eno fans certainly, fans of Roxy Music in its pre-Avalon days. Phil Manzanera and Eno from the original Roxy Music lineup joined for this one-off concert of mostly Manzanera and Eno songs, done live in the first-ever hermetic live recording where NONE of the crowd noise is heard during the song, and only a minor amount faded in and out between songs...the least "live-sounding" live album ever, but one of the greatest prog records. Both Eno and Manzanera were at their high points here, at least as regards being rock stars...Eno coming off of his great "Another Green World" and both men having just finished their Quiet Sun project together...besides, the cover versions are eccentric and hilarious (and who else would have the nerve to cover "Tomorrow Never Knows"?)
This particular copy is a first pressing from German Island Records (Ariola)...the vinyl is VG+ with some unobtrusive surface noise on cut #1 (otherwise it would be NM-). The sleeve is VG+ with edgewear and wrinkles.
If you want to hear it first, I believe the streaming services consider it a Phil Manzanera album.
