FIRST STATE BANK "Before You Leave" b/w "A Long Long Time"
Original late 1960s/early 1970s 45 on the BANKE label
Plays EXCELLENT
Big barnstormin’ Texas gee-tar rock from the First State Bank. “Before You Leave” has LOTS of guitar – dual guitar at least – and some pretty darn good harmonies too – and comes off like a cross between Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne, especially since they seem to have nicked that little guitar riff from the break in “When I Touch You.” Flipside’s a romantic ballad, believe it or not. One for the ladies.
