Now here’s a group sound record that’s so doggone rare – it’s off the radar entirely. I can’t detect a single mention of the Five Turbans in any catalog of recordings, price guide, web site or other reference. Is this really that unknown? Probably.
The group hail from Indianapolis, Indiana, and this is on the little Deb Records label. The selections here are “Christmas Prayer” and Yuletide Story.” It’s pretty impossible to detect WHEN this record is from except from the sound – and that’s quite a bit like stuff from around 1953-1956. They’re almost accapella here – being accompanied by a piano and that’s it.

CONDITION: VG+ with a few scuffs on the record and a slightly stained reverse label.
