Description

This is not your multiplatinum Fleetwood Mac. Originally a blues band, members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Peter Green were all veterans of England's powerhouse blues movement. Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kerwin were talented players as well as singers and song writers. On this 2 LP set, recorded in Chicago, with Marshall Chess producing half of the music, they teamed up with some of Chicago's best blues players, including Otis Spann, Willie Dixon and Shakey Horton. They result is 4 sides of fantastic blues. Some of the tracks are Fleetwood Mac blues tunes, but many are composed by the classic blues players who define "Chicago Blues". Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James, Spann, Horton and others. This is a great piece of history, and a window into the early days of "The Mac"
