FLEETWOOD MAC – Mr. Wonderful ORIG Blue Horizon LP / S 7-63205 (UK, Stereo, 1968)

Happy to present what must rank as surely one of the very freshest copies of this classic early Mac LP still in circulation.  If you are looking for an impeccable sleeve and super clean vinyl with perfect unhindered audio, you’ve come to the right place.  This is an ARCHIVE copy.

The outer-laminated flipback gatefold sleeve is just brilliant.  IF YOU LIKE 1960’S LAMINATES THAT MAINTAIN SUPER SHINE then this should surely please.  The only (slight) wobbles away from an ‘as new’ full Mint grade are a little compression to the spine (slight laminate flake); 3 light thumb creases to the rear and a tiny line of paper loss along one of the flip edges inside the gate.  Other than these super-picky imperfections, there is little to suggest that this wasn’t brought home fresh from the factory yesterday.  NO wear to the edges, no dulling of the laminate, no softening of the corners or opening edges, no real evidence of record impression and of course no splits, writing, scrapes or dirty panels.  The inside gate just looks sensational.  There can’t be many to challenge this tremendous copy and therefore I have no hesitation in giving it my highest grade for a used (?) sleeve – M- (Mint Minus).

The original textured labels are clean without writing, stickers, residue.  Very hard to decipher any spindle evidence – possibly some faint wisps around the centre hole if you look ultra close.  Fabulous labels.

The medium weight vinyl is in close to unbeatable M- (Mint Minus) condition too.  Under close scrutiny, I couldn’t decipher any lines or scuffs on this disc.  Certainly no scratches and no nasty embedded dirt.  IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and the audio grade matches the visual one: quiet run-ins and track separation.  NO snap, crackle or pop.  No clicks, hiss or distortion.  Peter Green’s guitar jumps out of the speakers with immense clarity – no distortion or lack of definition.  A JOY TO LISTEN TO!  We hear the word ‘faultless’ well it’s pretty much it.  Possibly one or two light dust ticks if you’re listening for digital silence.  But digital never sounded as good as this!

Presented in its original ‘patents pending’ poly-lined inner, this is the best all-round copy of Fleetwood Mac’s 2nd UK LP I’ve ever seen.  I offer it with no reserve.

I do not use any more than ONE plus or minus between grades.  After all, WHAT ON EARTH DOES VG+++++ MEAN?  What is NM+? Or EX---?   These are just some of the ridiculous gradings I’ve encountered on eBay.  I am very careful using the EX (Excellent) grade.  Excellent, by dictionary definition means ‘extremely good’ NOT ‘marked and slightly beat up with wear’!
