Description

This Blue Horizon Mono LP 7-63200 is quite a landmark album which was launched in the midst of the British Blues Boom and was received excitedly at the time. Peter Green had left John Mayall and people were keen to see and hear what he would come up with to maintain (and enhance) his reputation. Prior to the accomplished Danny Kirwan joining, this is the original outfit dishing out staple Blues/R&B fare in great fashion.
So, the cover has a laminated front with matt rear and spine and is in really fine clean, square shape for a 49 year old example. The card has a nice weight to it with no seam splits, rips, tears or deface writing, marks or sticker residue. The corners although sharp have a modicum of rub wear and there is some creasing (typical on laminate covers) and slight ringwear.  Overall is in more than acceptable condition and I will rate it 8.5/10 or EXC+ in grading terms.
The vinyl itself is of medium weight and is flat with no dishing. The labels are clean and show evidence of several plays at the spindle holes and the machine etched matrix numbers on the run-offs are 7-63200 A1/B1.  As is usual, up at the window in daylight the shiny disc looks very nice but we need the objective judgement of the unforgiving desk light! Under the searchlight I see scuffs and light marks but nothing problematic. Condition wise I would say possibly 8/10 or an EXC- but should the buyer disagree then I will of course always resolve any problem.
For the clean inner sleeve, it's plain but poly-lined and being standard issue I didn't bother to take a photo.
That's it. I'm going to start the auction at 99p with no reserve and free UK postage. The auction will run to the end where I gauge it will reach what the bidders think it is worth!
