Description
This record of the inimitable Florence Foster Jenkins is a recording of the aria "Charmant Oiseau" from the opera The Pearl of Brazil by the French composer, Felicien David. The label on the second side of the record is identical except for a "2" instead of a "1". The second side is a continuation of the first side. The record was made in the Melotone studio in New York and is a privately made recording.
The record is in decent shape with no cracks or chips. There are some scratches as would be expected, but personally I would rate the condition of this record as good.
These private recordings of Jenkins are very rare and this is the only one I've ever seen personally. I've set a reserve of $35 to avoid selling this for too little.
Shipping is free to locations in the U.S. only. Shipping elsewhere will be determined after the auction if necessary.
