Description
This is a vintage 33rpm LP from KUBANEY Records - FLY TO HAVANA - (MT-131) issued, in either 1957 or 1958, as a dedication to Cubana Airlines on the occasion of its 27th Anniversary. Manufactured, and the cover printed, in Cuba. The description on the back, both in Spanish and in English, describes briefly the history of Cubana Airlines including dates of acquisition of various equipment and plans for the future that included obtaining new Boeing 707's - please see pictures.
The record consists of ten tracks, five on each side - please see pictures for titles and artists. Artists include Trio Matamoros (Cuban Son), Los Armonicos, Neno Gonzales and more.
The record is in Good+ condition. Side One has approximately 6 long, slightly curved, scratches that go from the label to the edge - possibly caused by an errant tone arm and needle. Side Two has no obvious scratches, but there may be some minor ones. The jacket is in Good+ condition with the beginning of a split (approximately 1" long) at the bottom. Otherwise the jacket shows normal wear and tear, but has no writing on it.
The record does need to be cleaned. Grading is visual only - we have not played this record. Please ask all questions before bidding.
Successful bidder pays $3.95 shipping and handling by USPS Media Mail including USPS Tracking. Shipping by other means, or to Alaska, Hawaii or US Territories may incur extra charges.
