FOALS Holy Fire LIMITED EDITION BOX SET BUT WITH FAULTS
Foals, Holy Fire.
2013 EU/UK box set release of Holy Fire, Warner Bros/Transgressive Records 825646521388.Limited edition of 2000.
Box set includes:
- Gatefold Album
- Marbled yellow and black coloured vinyl
- My Number 7" vinyl
- Bonus CD
- Documentary DVD
- 6 x 12" Artwork prints
- Holy Fire artwork poster
- Album download code.
LP, CD and DVD are all housed in gatefold sleeve.
Art prints and poster are enclosed in a custom envelope which is hand numbered (189/2000), initialled and stamped by the band.
PLEASE NOTE that this is an imperfect/factory return set which has some noticeable faults so please read description carefully!
LP is near mint. The LP inner sleeve has neat centre seam splits to one edge and bottom edge, else is near mint. Gatefold sleeve which contains LP, CD and DVD has neat approx. two inch seam splits to centre of top and bottom edges of front panel else is near mint.
7" visually EX with minor hairline sleeve scuffs. Plays with some minor crackle, no ticks or clicks. 7" picture sleeve has an approx. two inch seam split to top edge with some loose surface material at this area, else is near mint.
CD is EX with just a very few light and superficial wispy hairline scuff marks.
DVD is poor with a number of heavy scuff marks, some of which can be felt to the touch. I doubt very much that it will play without problems.
Prints and poster are all present and near mint bar just a tad of darkening contact rubbing to reverse of poster.
Numbered pouch containing the poster/prints has creasing, nicks and an approx. one inch closed tear to the top fold-over flap at rear, else no problems and uncreased and unsplit.
Download voucher is present but without guarantees for validity as set is not sealed.
Bottom half of box has a large scored hairline cross to base which breaks the surface, else no problems.
Top half of box has a closed split to around the centre of the bottom edge. The bottom left corner has received a bash and is split with a near inch tear line running up the joint between spine and front panel. This is starting to flay out at this area, but there is no loss and gummed repair would improve things. A slight knock to joint between spine and front panel, about a third of the way up from bottom. Else box is very clean and tidy.
In summary a poor set, but with the LP, CD and inserts still in great shape and the 7" in acceptably good shape.
An opportunity perhaps to mix and match with another imperfect set. If bidding for part of the set only I am prepared to split the set and it will be possible to reduce postage/shipping costs accordingly.
Sensible start price owing to condition.
