Description

FOLK SINGER by MUDDY WATERS up for auction.  Originally released in 1964 on CHESS RECORDS, this the MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LABS ANADISQ 200 version issued in 1994. A limited edition, this copy is number 4032.
The LP is not sealed as I opened it back in 1994.  If I played it at all, it would have been once on a VPI turntable.  The LP then went straight into storage where it has remained until now.  Other than a tiny, tiny almost invisible crimp on the lower left hand side of the cover this is a MINT copy.
Musicians include: BUDDY GUY, WILLIE DIXON, CLIFTON JAMES and, of course, MUDDY WATERS.  Produced by WILLIE DIXON and the legendary RALPH BASS (he signed JAMES BROWN to KING RECORDS).  Engineered by RON MALO (he engineered the very first ROLLING STONES session in the US).  Songs written by MCKINLEY MORGANFIELD, JOHNNIE "GEECHIE" TEMPLE and SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON.  Photo by the late, great JIM MARSHALL.
