Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Fontella Bass called "The New Look" and is an ORIGINAL 1966 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Chess label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL IS THAT IT HAS AN ULTRA RARE 'STICKERED' COVER!!!! FONTELLA BASS HAD A SIZEABLE HIT WITH THE TRACK 'RESCUE ME' BEFORE THIS LP WAS RELEASED - AND SO TO PROMOTE THIS LP A STICKER WAS PLACED ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ADVERTISING THE TRACK (WHICH WAS INCLUDED ON THE LP)!!!! PRINTED ON THE STICKER IT SAYS 'INCLUDING THE SMASH HIT - RESCUE ME'!!!! THIS LP ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE - AND VIRTUALLY EVERY 1ST PRESSING WOULD HAVE HAD THIS STICKER REMOVED. SO IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND THIS LP STILL 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 'STICKERED' COVER!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! THIS IS THE 1966 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS CHESS LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' MONO 'STICKERED' COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the original Chess UK 1st pressing from 1966 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The Cat. No is CRL 4517 on the 1st Press Chess Labels (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!!
The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS LP HAS ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED 2 OR 3 TIMES AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Flipback Laminated 'Stickered' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has barely ANY edge wear (apart from a couple of VERY small 'darker' areas on the top edge), NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few creases near the spinal edge (barely ANY elsewhere - cover is still VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO rubbing, NO grubbyness, NO writing, and only VERY slight yellowing!!!! The MEGA RARE sticker is still FULLY intact and 'unpicked' - though it has faded a little. The cover must grade Very Good+!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP!!!!
