This is the 2nd pressing of RCA's Record Club edition of the 1973 live 2 LP set. Hence, this piece has its own dedicated catalog number (although the inner sleeves used in these releases generally use the original print run which reflects the original catalog number VPSX-6089). This piece has the peculiarity of containing 1 inner sleeve WITHOUT the printed song titles from the MSG LP. This is indeed RARELY SEEN - from atleast 50 copies that I've owned this is the only one I have come across. The jacket DOES NOT have the original die-cut front cover.
The cover is VG++. ALL EDGES ARE STRONG AND STRAIGHT; a minor bump can be felt along the bottom right edge. Sparse wear found, but nothing too distracting (SEE PICS). The spine is perfectly legible and the inner gatefold artwork is BEAUTIFUL!
The inner sleeve WITHOUT printed titles is VG+++. Slightly below an E grade due to sparse and short storage creases and disc outline; NO DISCOLORATION, WRITING, TEARS, OR SEAM SPLITS. The seconf inner sleeve is E+.
Disc one is NM. Beautiful gloss. Disc two is E-, showing a few tell-tale handling marks, but none that affect playback. LABELS: Disc one is E, due to very light spindle traces. Otherwise the label is super clean; NO DISCOLORATION, WRITING, OR STICKERS. Disc two is E- due to more noticeable spindle traces (SEE PICS).
Sonically both discs are very quiet, only occasional audible ticks. Great warmth and separation. E grade.
