FORTHERINGAY with SANDY DENNY UK ILSP-9125 A//2 1.1. Release EXCL in NM Sleeve
TIME FOR A STEEL!
NO LOVER OF CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH FOLK MUSIC SHOULD BE WITHOUT THIS ALBUM!
’Self Titled’
FIRST UK PRESSING: A//2 1.1
THIS CLASSIC ALBUM WOULD HAVE SOLD FOR WELL OVER $150.00 IF NOT FOR ...
Records EXCELLENT: Some light spindle marks. It breaks my heart to down-grade this album. It looks absolutely perfect UNTIL you see the two small but deep scratches on the first track of both sides, each producing 7 & 10 clicks respectively (see photos). No idea how this happened - odd that they are both in about the same place on each side. I suspect a little grit got stuck in the inner sleeve. Such a shame because the rest of the album GLEAMS! Sleeve NEAR MINT: A VERY clean example. The tiniest amount of edge wear (Magnifying glass stuff!!) Very clean front, rear and spine surfaces. Inner Sleeve EXCELLENT: (Present but no longer used) Original white with clear plastic liner. Usual corner creases and album pressure marks. Vinyl now kept in MoFi Master sleeve.
ISLAND release.

RECORD GRADING:
I adhere to the Record Collector's Grading System, which is ...
(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
(EXC) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
(B) BAD: (maybe that should be SAD!) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
