Island ILPS 9125, 1970 UK issue, 1st pressing, matrix endings A//2, B//2, pink label, “i” logo; gatefold sleeve.
With group members drawn from Fairport Convention, Eclection and Poet & the One man Band this is one of the most accomplished folk rock albums of the era. Produced by Joe Boyd, Witchseason Productions.
Cover EX A very well-kept copy of this beautiful gatefold sleeve: lovely firm edges exhibiting hardly any wear at all, really excellent spine and print; panels inside and out show minimal storage wear. Inside, timings have been written against track titles, but these are not immediately noticeable..
Includes the original poly-lined inner sleeve, which for this copy was a white one. As there is a short split on one side, a new inner is also supplied.
Disc EX-- Lovely glossy, fresh appearance to vinyl with no obvious marks. Great, clean looking labels, just a few faint transparent marks. Substantially excellent play with great delicacy and vibrancy in the sound. Three tiny hard-to-spot scratches at the end of side 2, track 2 cause a few clicks, one click also noted on side 1; some occasional snicks and a few brief moments of mostly faint background crackle.
