THE 4 STRANGERS: YOU'LL BE MINE/ SAD AND LONELY. FESTIVAL FK-1022.
Ultra rare pre- Taman Shud record. The 4 Strangers were a Newcastle(NSW) band. Their first record was a surf instrumental 45 on the Astor label (The Rip). Lindsay Bjerre joined the band and recorded this strong, gritty 45 listed here, for Festival in Sydney 1965. Bjerre wrote the classic 'Sad and lonely' which appeared on the Raven records 'Ugly Things' comp LP volume 1 in 1980. I have downgraded this record to VG. There are many lines and a few light scratches. Crackly at the run in, but the record sound is strong. This is not a knackered dog, but it is not excellent either.
