Zustandsbeschreibungen (Schallplatte):

Mint (m)
Die Schallplatte ist absolut neuwertig (meistens neu), es sind weder Spuren des Gebrauchs zu sehen noch zu hören. Eine solchermaßen klassifizierte Schallplatte weist nicht den geringsten Makel auf.

Near Mint (nm)
Die Platte ist in einem völlig unbeschädigten Zustand, es dürfen weder Kratzer sichtbar noch hörbar sein. Ganz feine, oberflächliche Ziehspuren oder Abfärbungen durch die Innenhülle (aufgrund langer Lagerzeit) müssen in Kauf genommen werden, sind aber praktisch unhörbar.

Mint - (m -, Mint minus)
Die Platte ist praktisch immer noch unbeschädigt, es dürfen keine echten Kratzer vorhanden sein. Auch leichte Knackser dürfen nur ganz selten und sporadisch auftreten. Es können auch leichte Pressfehler, wie Oberflächenrauhigkeiten oder Bläschen im Vinyl vorkommen. Im Großen und Ganzen muß eine solche Platte aber immer noch die musikalische Information in ihrer ganzen Fülle übertragen.

Excellent (vg++)
Platte kann leichte Gebrauchsspuren aufweisen. Vereinzelte treten leichte Tics und leichtes Fremdgeräusch wie Hintergrundrauschen auf das jedoch noch nicht dominant ist.

Vg+ 
Eine solche Platte hat schon einige sichtbare leichte Kratzer, kann beim Abspielen auch öfter knacksen oder ein deutliches Hintergrundgeräusch besitzen.

Vg
Auf einer solchen Platte finden sich meist schon ein paar tiefere Kratzer und es sind schärfere Knackser beim Abspielen zu hören. Auch ist es möglich, daß eine solche Scheibe schon deutlich verwellt ist.

Vg-
Stärkere Knackser und permanentes Hintergrundrauschen.

G+
Für den ernsthaften Hörer bereits unspielbar.

Gradings of Condition (record):

Mint (m)
This record ist in a absolutely new condition, better is not possible; no sounds. This Record is never listened (or seems so), Factory sealed, or never sealed.

Near Mint (nm)
Near Mint. Highest grade for used records. Record has nearly no surface marks.

Mint - (m -, Mint minus)
Very few light marks, generaly not affecting play, but may be some surface tics can be possible. This lp can have some press errors that not effect to sounds.

Excellent (vg++)
Some surface marks that sometimes have affecting play, may have surface background noises.

Vg+ 
Tics from several or many surface marks and/or stronger background noise.

Vg
Record is listenable but lots of surface marks will sound. Background noises may generate dominant broadband noises. This lp may be a litle bend

Vg-
This record has some permanent tics over more than 20 seconds and background noises sounds very strong. Lp can be bend.

G+
Not hear able for seriously listener. Only interesting for hard core collectors.
