Description

Offered here is Francis Wolff's original photo for the cover of Blue Note 5070 (J.J. Johnson). Photo is approx. 8x11" and has John Hermansader's crop lines in grease marker
John Hermansader was an early art director/designer for Blue Note Records. Working with legendary Jazz photographer/Blue Note co-owner Francis Wolff, he designed some of Blue Note's early iconic cover art. These pieces come from Hermansader's personal Blue Note archive. Because Mosaic Images owns Francis Wolff's photo archive, it is incredibly rare to see Wolff's original photo prints and negatives offered for sale.    Condition: Nice gloss with some age discoloration and moderate wear from handling including corner and edge wear. No tears. Please see high resolution images.
Questions are welcome. Please see my other auctions for rare items from the Hermansader Blue Note archive.
