Description

FRANCOIS DE ROUBAIX: Teva (Disques Somethin’ Else Records 6450.200 stereo)
Nice play copy of this rare original 1969 French television soundtrack LP release.   VINYL CONDITION:  VG+: light scuffing and hairlines, plays well. COVER CONDITION:  VG-: Light scuffing, creasing, sticker residue, corner dings, small stain on back, solid seams.

Here’s a general description of how we’ve graded the records we offer.  In some cases we may describe a record as being “VG+ to EX,” or some other combination of grades.  What this means is that it seems like the record either falls between the description of the grades as described below, or one side may be VG+ and the other EX.  As always, grading is in the eye of the beholder, and we try to grade our offerings in such a way that if we were buying the record and it was graded the way we’ve graded it, that we would be satisfied with how it was graded.

M: Mint (as new). It’s either still sealed, or it’s unsealed and we know for a fact that it has never been played.  Covers will be as new or still sealed in shrink wrap.

NM: Near Mint. The record has no marks or visible faults, like new, perhaps played once or twice, and has been very well cared for, with beautiful sheen.  Covers will have no creases, ring wear, or seam splits of any kind.  Perhaps a tiny corner ding or two, but all in all a clean, good quality cover.

EX:  Excellent. The record shows some sign of having been carefully played, perhaps some light surface scuffing from the inner sleeve, with minimal or no discernable effect on play, and with no significant distractions from the sound.  The record still has nice sheen, and there may be an occasional tick or pop here and there, but in general plays excellent.  Covers will have very minor wear -- no splits or tears, but may have one or two small blemishes or very minor light edge wear or ringwear, or tiny edge creasing and corner dings.

VG+: Very Good Plus. The record has been played regularly. There may be visual marks and light scratches or lines on the disc that have some effect on play -- crackles on several tracks, or a few more ticks and pops than an EX record, or some surface noise in quiet spots or between tracks. Record still has decent sheen, and plays fine for most purposes.  Cover will show a few more signs of wear than EX.  It may have minor defacing, minor writing, cut-out mark, some ringwear, edge wear or creasing.  May have stickers, small seam splits, or tiny tears or blemishes from the removal or a previous price tag. A solid decent cover.

VG: Very Good. The record has been played regularly and is showing signs of wear . May have many visual marks, and surface scratches, thus there may be numerous audible pops and crackles. Beginning to show signs of a lack of original sheen, and groove wear may be evident on sight, with some scratches that may cause repeating ticks or pops.  No skips of serious defects, but most likely will have some surface noise during quiet passages or between songs.  Covers will have multiple flaws, such as very obvious ringwear, heavy creasing, larger seam splits, small tears, and may have stickers and/or writing on the cover.  There may be minor moisture damage or small stains.

VG-. Very Good Minus. The record has been played many times, affecting the sound quality with pops and crackles, due to surface scratches and wear. In general there should be no skips or major flaws, and in most cases we will not list a record that is graded below VG-.  Covers will have multiple flaws, more so than a VG cover -- heavy ringwear or creasing, taped seam splits, tears, and may have stickers and/or writing on the cover.  Heavier moisture damage and staining.  Anything we list that is below a VG- cover will have a full description of flaws.

Here are all the details so you know exactly what the scoop is:

Shipping & packing costs are added to the final purchase price of your item(s). We normally ship via the US Postal Service, though we can also ship via UPS or FedEx (Ground or Express) within the USA upon request.

Rates shown above are the usual rates -- some items may be lighter or heavier than the usual weight depending on the covers/sleeves of the individual record. For instance, older pressings or heavy gatefold sleeves can cause a single LP to cost more to ship, and double LPs generally cost the equivalent of two LPs,  10” vinyl is generally a bit less, but again, it depends on the packaging.   Please note that if the amount you end up paying through the ebay invoice system is greater than our costs to ship the item to you we will refund the balance to you via Paypal.

Combined shipping rates apply (see below), and we will always package your order securely so that it should arrive in excellent condition, barring any unforeseen postal calamities. If you're just purchasing this one item, you may use the costs listed below. If you purchase more than one item from us, please wait to receive our email with the total shipping price before sending payment.

Used 12" or 10” vinyl will be shipped with vinyl outside the jacket in an outer plastic bag, all securely packed in a cardboard LP mailer with two cardboard inserts for protection. Sealed 12” or 10” vinyl will be shipped sealed, unless you ask us to open it and prepare the shipment as described above for used vinyl.

INSURANCE & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DETAILS:

Insurance costs within the USA start at $1.00 and go up depending on the total value of your shipment. If you’d like your package insured please let us know and we’ll calculate the cost. International insurance costs start at $2.00 and go up depending on the value of the package. Please note that uninsured parcels are sent at the purchaser's risk.

Large international orders which exceed the weight limit for First Class Mail International will have to be sent at the International Parcel Post rates, which are higher than those listed above. If you are thinking about making a large order, please contact us first with a list of the items you are interested in purchasing for a shipping quote.

Customs fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. We have no way of knowing how much these fees will be in advance, although if you request it we will agree to declare a low value on the customs form. Please be advised, however, that in the case of loss or damage to any package for which you have asked us to declare a low value on the customs form, any loss that occurs will be your responsibility.  As it is our belief that music is a gift from this most magical universe, we always mark our customs forms appropriately.
