Description
For sale is FRANCOIS RABBATH's "Bass Ball," on Philips PHM 200-128, MONO, DG, 1964 Promo-Label Edition.
SOUND: NM It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound of this unique record is brilliant and near-perfect. Only the most minor surface noise imaginable -- but still, even being ultra-critical, NM. Outstanding playback!
VINYL: NM The vinyl is beautifully clean and newish-looking. One or two ultra-faint scuffs or marks, completely cosmetic, and likely only from inner-sleeve contact. The labels are deep-grooved, white "promo" edition. They are clean and brilliant. Looking closely, there are one or two very faint spindle marks.
JACKET: NM The jacket has solid, beautifully preserved edges and spine. The corners are very nice, with a minimal touch of wear. The glossy front cover shows a slight touch of ring-wear, and there's a sticker in the upper left corner. Still looks clean and brilliant. The back cover is very clean and bright. The original Philips inner sleeve is included (see pics.)
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A unique and sought-after record, especially in this condition! Buy-it-now for $33.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
