From the Album "Chip Dip"

Given the popularity of the Motley Crew, surprisingly little has been

made of the great talent possessed by Curley Bridges in the three

decades since the group split up in late 1966. The only exceptions, a

rare guest appearance as organist on Jackie Shane’s live album from

1968, and the terrific Chip Dip album recorded by Frank Motley and

 the Bridge Crossing in 1972.

On Chip Dip, Bridges plays organ and sings “Rock And Soul” (a Fats

Domino rewrite), “Crying All Alone” (a new version of one of those

wonderful original blues ballads of the early ’60s), The record is most

definitely worth tracking down, with guitarist James Burney and

drummer Jimmy Payne playing up a storm throughout.

I do my best to grade accurately. It's not an exact 'Science', it's a subjective exercise. If you feel that I have erred drastically, please let me know and we'll sort it out. Thanks.

I try to use the 'Goldmine' grading system. (NM, VG, G with appropriate +/-) NM would be my highest grade. I have endeavored to be as accurate in my assessment as I can. I will not sell LPs that appear to be in less of a condition than I myself would be happy to receive. The only exception would be truly rare discs and then any flaws would be clearly explained. Having been disappointed by the condition of a number of LPs purchased I am EXTREMELY sensitive to this issue and will try my best to grade with this in mind.
