Absolutely stunning copy of the classic Sinatra at the Sands double-LP on Reprise 2FS-1019. Gold and orange “microphone” labels and gatefold cover. This is one of Sinatra’s most famous records of all, in collaboration with the Count Basie Orchestra, and with arrangements by a young Quincy Jones. Both discs are just beautiful and play completely flawlessly and truly beautifully. There are some very light and entirely superficial scuffs but they do not affect the play in the least. The disc with sides one and four is closer to NM; the other disc is the one with some scuffing and very light marks but really both play totally perfectly. The whole monologue section really has no pops or crackle at all. Totally stunning condition despite the minor scuffs. The cover is quite nice as well, with some wear at the upper left corner and upper spine, and a bit of minor splitting at the top seams. There is a small strip of clear tape at the top that is holding a split, which appears to maybe go about halfway across, but it is very tight and not very noticeable. Otherwise quite a lovely cover with no ringwear or marks or creases or anything like that. Really quite a beautiful copy that sounds just fantastic.
