"Command Performance" Radio Show Transcription Disc Produced By The Armed Forces Radio Service. One Complete 30 Minute Radio Program On This 16 Inch, Vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm Disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast to U. S. Troops during World War Two and not available to the general public, very rare!
"Command Performance" radio program #159 from January 25, 1945 starring Frank Morgan, Frank Sinatra, The Andrews Sisters, Nelson Eddy, Foy Willing & The Riders Of The Purple Sage, Elvia Allman & Blanche Stewart (performing as "Brenda & Cobina"), Ken Carpenter. The orchestra is directed by Meredith Willson
Songs include "One Meat Ball" vocal The Andrews Sisters, "Saturday Night" vocal Frank Sinatra, "Cool Water" vocal Foy Willing & The Riders Of The Purple Sage, "Invictus" vocal Nelson Eddy
Includes a comedy sketch "Who Dropped The Bobby Sox In Nelson Eddy's Shortnin' Bread" with Nelson Eddy, Frank Sinatra, Frank Morgan, Ken Carpenter & Patty Andrews. Nelson Eddy sings a line of "All Or Nothing At All" impersonating Frank Sinatra, and Frank Sinatra sings a line of "Shortnin' Bread" impersonating Nelson Eddy

Excellent World War Two Era Nostalgic Broadcast
There is a defect in the edge of the disc that causes a thud in the first few seconds of both sides of the disc. Otherwise, the disc is in EX- condition with EX- Sound
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the disc for the buyer only
