Description

Truly amazing copy of the 1959 pressing of Sinatra’s masterpiece (or one of them), Frank Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely, on Capitol mono W-1053. Beautiful Scranton pressing on side-logo labels. The disc is stunningly minty and plays absolutely flawlessly and just beautifully. The sound is just dazzling. Many Sinatra fans agree that the mono mix is the only way to hear this record properly, and these early pressings are by far the greatest sounding versions. This one is just an unbelievable experience to hear. The cover is very nearly pristine as well, with juat a bit of edge fraying at the top (see photo), but really not much. Also the top right corner is slightly bumped and creased just a bit. A faint ring is also just barely visible, but just barely. Otherwise it is just gorgeous, with very little sign of use at all. Just a magnificent copy, very hard indeed to beat.
